Doodle Bunny Pattern

Since I have been so focused on painting and art journaling lately, I haven't really done very much primitive crafting. But I don't want you all to think I've forgotten about you! So for this last day of March I thought I'd create a quick little Primitive Pattern for you. It's a Doodle Bunny. Just a little doodle that would be perfect for some bowl fillers, or shelf sitters, or even as some ornies.

Just click on the image below and that will take you to the PDF download of my Doodle Bunny.

I hope you like it. I'm still pretty focused on doing my art in my studio, but I will try to find some goodies to share with you in April. Hope you have a Happy Easter!

Reindeer Doodle Freebie Pattern

Since I was too busy cooking and what not for Thanksgiving last week to get into the studio, I thought I'd at least do a little drawing and see if I couldn't get a Primitive Freebie made up to kick of the holiday season. So I made this Primitive Reindeer Doodle freebie for you to download.

Just click on the image above and that will take you to the download page, where you can download this Primitive Freebie in PDF format. I hope that helps to get you in the Christmas spirit...or at least in the crafting spirit. :)

Prim Sheep Doodle Pattern

I didn't get any crafting done over the weekend, but I wanted to share something this week, so I created this Prim Sheep Doodle pattern and turned it into a PDF as a Primitive Freebie.

Just click on the text link (below) and that will take you to the PDF of the pattern that you can download. I think it would make a cute stitchery or something.

The Primitive Pattern is mostly hand drawn, but I had to neaten up the eyes digitally because they didn't turn out too well after the scan. Hope you can use it for something fun!

Felt Chocolate Bunny Pattern

I created this Felt Chocolate Bunny Pattern and posted it on my Art Chick Studio blog a couple of years ago. We all know that pretty much anything can be made to look primitive, so I thought I'd share this pattern for anyone who wants to give it a try.

Felt Chocolate Easter Bunny Pattern

Just click on the text link under the bunny photo and that will take you to the PDF pattern. It's just the image of the bunny--there aren't instructions on it. It's basically just a matter of cut out two pieces, sew around the edges (leaving a small opening for stuffing), stuff with fiberfill, and stitch closed. I'm not an expert in the sewing department, so I like to keep it simple most of the time.

Hope you have a Hoppy Primitive Easter!

Witch Hat Pattern

Witch Hat
Since I couldn't provide you with my own pattern for the Primitive Witch Hat that I posted yesterday, I decided to go on a hunt for a free Primitive Patterns for witch hats. Well, it may or not be "primitive," but it is a free pattern and we all know you can you prim up just about anything! So here is a link to a free witch hat pattern that you can use to make your own Witch Hat. Just click on the link below.

(Note: the image above is not of the witch hat made from the free pattern. It's just a witch hat image I had in my stash.)
Happy BeWitching!
(Hope this works for you, Lenore!) :)

Primitive Cat Pattern

Those you who have followed me for awhile know that sewing isn't my favorite thing. It's not something I do often because I'm just not the greatest at it. And when I do sew it has to be something simple. But you all may also know that I'm not just a crafter, but also an artist (and a licensed art educator!) who likes to draw, among other things. So I decided to draw a little Primitive Cat, and I also decided it would make a great easy Primitive Pattern too. Mind you, I haven't sewn it yet. LOL But I will at some point. That isn't gonna stop me from sharing it with you though!

This is what the Primitive Cat Pattern looks like:

And you can download it for FREE by clicking on the link below.

This pattern has two options for the tail, so you can choose if your cat should have its tail up or curled down in front of him (or her). Just cut it out whichever way you'd like your cat to be. The pattern is in PDF format so it will print full size for you.

It should go without saying that this is my original creation and should not be claimed as your own or sold for profit. If you want to share it, please do so by posting a link to this pattern directly from your website or blog etc. That includes pinning on Pinterest--there's a Pin It link at the bottom right of this post, so please use it if you'd like to share it that way.

Frost on the Pumpkin Bowl Filler Pattern

I found this great Primitive Pattern while surfing for primitives today. It's called Frost on the Pumpkin Bowl Fillers and it's created by Deb at Paxton Valley Folk Art.

Primitive Cardinal Ornie

So here I am, after joking about how I am not really into sewing, and I decide to sew something. LOL I am a walking self-contradiction, to be sure. But to get technical...I really only dislike sewing with a machine. Crafty sewing is not too bad, and sometimes even fun! Anyway, I decided to make a Primitive Cardinal Ornie out of felt. Here's what I came up with.

Primitive Cardinal Ornie
I'm always one to keep things as simple as possible (especially where sewing is concerned) and this could not have been much simpler. I just came up with a pattern, cut out 2 of the cardinal's body shape and 2 of the wing shapes. I stitched the wings on to each half of the body, and then stitched both halves on the body together (with long stitches on the tail to suggest tail feathers), leaving about 1/3 of it open for stuffing. After stuffing with fiberfill, I stitched the rest of the body closed. And then I finished it by creating a knot for an eye on both sides of the head.

I love using felt for crafting, and I love how this turned out. Simple, sweet, and easy, just how I like it. It will be a nice addition to my collection of Primitive Ornies. And of course, this will work great on my Primitive Christmas tree too.

But wait. There's more! I decided to create a pattern for the cardinal, in case anyone wants it. It's already in PDF format, all ready to download, just by clicking on the link below. Keep in mind, I'm not a professional at making Primitive Patterns...but I hope you can use it and have fun with it.

You just need to cut two of each piece, stitch, stuff, and close! Super easy. You're welcome to use this pattern to make projects that you plan to sell, but please do not claim the image as your own or resell the pattern. A link back to this post on Tattered Sisters would also be greatly appreciated.
